The Princess and the Pigs

The Greatest Invention EVER!

Tad Poleson

This assignment dealt with cliches.  In this painting, I was given the words "piggy bank" and told to develop a composition.  In lieu of high gas prices during the summer and comments about "highway robbery," I figured people could relate to this rogue hog.

Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree

The Illustration department was recently given a grant by Avalanche Software, and a couple of students arranged a trip to Zion's National Park to paint, sketch, and do some landscape designs.  In all, there were fifteen students, three instructors, and an Avalanche Software employee (Dave McLellan). We spent the entire time hiking, sketching, painting, eating at great restaurants, and sleeping soundly in our nice hotel. What a BLAST! Here are a few of the sketches and paintings I did while there.
